How long does it take?
Road to Bethlehem takes about 40 minutes from start to finish, departing every 6 minutes (approx). It is an interactive Christmas drama production and tour groups walk from scene to scene. However there may be a waiting period before your group is called and you start the Road to Bethlehem walk-through tour.
To avoid long waits, arrive early and pick up your tickets, then either enjoy the entertainment or even leave and return at the estimated time of your performance.
Road to Bethlehem caters for all ages and encourages young families to attend. Although the path can be slightly bumpy in places, pushing a pram is still manageable.
Is it suitable for wheelchairs?
Road to Bethlehem is enjoyed each year by many people in wheelchairs. The road can be a bit bumpy in places, but we have never had any complaints. We suggest that you bring along a friend to help give you a hand if required.
How long will I have to wait for my tour of Road to Bethlehem?
The waiting period can vary considerably, however we estimate that most people wait over an hour. Don't panic however, we have plenty of free entertainment for all ages in the entrance area. Free crafts for the kids (including face painting and play equipment), a Pinnacle of Terror for the teens, live musicians and Christmas carols for all to enjoy, not to mention light refreshments at affordable prices.
What happens if it rains during Road to Bethlehem?
If it rains, Road to Bethlehem still continues - the show must go on! However it can get muddy, so wear comfortable shoes and bring an umbrella or a coat.
What does it cost to walk the Road to Bethlehem?
The ROAD to BETHLEHEM is toll free for all tourists. Donations for yearly maintenance is appreciated as this is a non profit event. Donations can be made at the Tax Collectors booth or sent to P.O. Box. 157, Forest Hill, VIC 3131
Light refreshments will be available for sale.

Road to Bethlehem can cater for group bookings of up to 30 people. For information and bookings, call (03) 9264 7770. This phone line is open from two weeks before Road to Bethlehem, November 30 until December 11. Bookings may only be made up to two weeks before the event.

Who creates and runs Road to Bethlehem?
Road to Bethlehem is organised by a group of Seventh-day Adventist Churches around Melbourne as their gift to the community. Road to Bethlehem brings to life the simple story of Jesus' birth, and involves over 300 volunteers each year. Road to Bethlehem has been running annually in December since 1995.
